About me

My name is Lauren Allman Ba(hons) Dip.Hyp.NLP.Prac. and I run my Hypnotherapy Practice in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, UK.

In 2003 I obtained a Ba (Hons) in Human Communication Studies which enabled me to work as a Speech and Language Therapist. Having become increasingly frustrated by working with people's symptoms instead of the causative actions, I left the NHS to pursue a career helping others to reach their goals and free themselves from limiting behaviours.

Having qualified in both Clinical Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming back in 2006, I have pursued my contiuous prefessional development by specialising in Hypnotherapy for Childbirth among other areas.

I am a firm believer in the positive changes that can be gained from Hypnotherapy having experienced the benefits myself during my studies, where I used Hypnotherapy to combat my shyness and lack of confidence. The effects of the hypnotherapy have touched every aspect of my life and left me able to deal with situations that arise with confidence and assertiveness. The idea of giving a speech or meeting new people would have filled me with anxiety and fear at one stage but having discovered Hypnotherapy and NLP, I now have the confidence to give talks and promote my business to complete strangers.

Some therapists work entirely from scripts and believe in a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy. This is not how I work with my clients. Each client is treated as a unique individual and each session is moulded around what they bring to the room.

I know how important it is to provide the highest quality service to you and so I am registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), which is the regulatory body for the maintenance of good practice and development within hypnotherapy. You can be sure that I work to a strict code of ethics as set out by GHR.
